Additional information

Part of a broader Pacific-region bullion and collector series issued in the early 2010s, this piece was struck under license arrangements common to small-island sovereign mints seeking revenue through numismatic exports rather than domestic circulation. Fiji's Reserve Bank authorized numerous such issues during this period, many produced by external minting houses rather than on Fijian soil.

The Nero association places it within a Roman emperors series. At 0.5 grams, the gold content is negligible as a bullion vehicle — the piece was priced entirely on collector demand from the outset.
