| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' runs vertically along the left border of the square flan, while 'NIUE ISLAND' runs vertically along the right border. The denomination '1 DOLLAR' is inscribed horizontally along the upper edge. Below the truncation of the portrait appears the engraver's initials 'IRB', flanked by the date '2021' to the lower left and the fineness and weight indicators 'Ag 999 1 oz' to the lower right. The mint mark of the Mint of Poland appears at lower left of the field. The gold-plated surface creates a dramatic chiaroscuro effect against the mirrored proof field. |
