Cook Islands has issued commemorative gold minors under licensing arrangements since the 1970s, and by 2010 the program had expanded to include figures well outside Pacific history — MLK among them. The speech itself was delivered on August 28, 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
