Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the designer's initials IRB visible below the truncation. Reverse description A prominent gold-plated Latin cross occupies the centre of the field, its vertical arm notably longer than the horizontal, rendered with a smooth, burnished finish against a black enamelled background. The legend LATIN CROSS arcs along the upper portion of the inner border, flanked by ornamental scroll devices at either side. The denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower arc of the inner border. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner ring and a plain outer rim.
