| Obverse description | The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and NIUE ISLAND along the upper right, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR inscribed to the left and the date 2017 to the lower right.
