HMS Victory is best known as Nelson's flagship at Trafalgar in 1805, but she was already over forty years old by that battle — launched at Chatham in 1765 and nearly broken up twice before being assigned to active command. Cook Islands has issued commemorative dollars of this type through licensing arrangements with the Pobjoy Mint, producing pieces aimed squarely at the collector market with no meaningful circulation history.
