Additional information

Tokelau has become a prolific issuer of small-format bullion and collector gold since New Zealand's government — which administers the territory — granted it expanded authority to produce numismatic issues. At 0.0622 g, this piece contains exactly 1/500th of a troy ounce, a denomination increment used almost exclusively in modern collector series where fractional gold is sold at steep premiums over spot.
