Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a richly colored and engraved commemorative scene honoring Governor John Hunter, the second Governor of New South Wales (1795–1800). To the right, an uncolored silver-relief bust of Hunter is depicted in period dress with a cravat and powdered wig. The central colored vignette depicts a British redcoat soldier standing at attention beside convict laborers working beneath a tent or lean-to structure, with lush green grass rendered in vivid polychrome enamel. A decorative iron chain arcs across the lower field, symbolizing the convict era. The arched legend 'GOVERNOR JOHN HUNTER' appears in the upper field, with the date range '1795-1800' inscribed in the lower exergual area.
