To the upper right, in the mirror-polished field, the dates 1420 and 1471 are inscribed vertically, denoting his birth and death years. Beside the dates, the Bohemian coat of arms — featuring a crowned double-tailed lion — is depicted in relief. The engraver's initials JB appear to the left of the bust.
