Reverse description The reverse presents a fully colored rectangular composition depicting the Fourth Station of the Cross, in which Jesus meets his mother the Virgin Mary on the Via Dolorosa. Christ is shown in the left foreground, bowed under the weight of the wooden cross draped over his shoulder, wearing a crown of thorns and a red garment, while Roman soldiers are visible behind him. To the right, the Virgin Mary, accompanied by attendants, reaches toward her son in a moment of profound grief and compassion. The scene is rendered in a painterly, illustrative style with rich warm tones. The Roman numeral IV is inscribed in a small rectangular cartouche at the lower center of the reverse.
