| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within a recessed circular field bordered by a serrated rim of raised triangular denticles. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper left field and NIUE ISLAND along the upper right.
