| Obverse description | Central effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, set within an elaborate ornamental wreath of scrolling vines, pomegranates, and stylized floral motifs that fill the oval field. The date 2013 is split to either side of the effigy, with '20' at left and '13' at right. The denomination '1 DOLLAR' is inscribed along the upper arc, while 'ELIZABETH II' curves below the portrait, and 'NIUE ISLAND' appears along the lower margin.
