Additional information

Issued to mark the 60th anniversary of the November 1947 Westminster Abbey wedding, this is one of dozens of commemorative pieces Cook Islands produced under licensing arrangements that bear little relation to the territory's own monetary history. The Royal Mint had no involvement; production was handled by private minting contractors supplying the commemorative market wholesale.
