Dettifoss, in northeastern Iceland, carries a legitimate claim to being the most powerful waterfall in Europe by volumetric flow — up to 500 cubic meters per second during peak glacial melt from the Vatnajökull ice cap. Niue has issued numerous themed bullion pieces under licensing arrangements that allow it to generate revenue far exceeding what its roughly 1,600-person population could sustain through domestic commerce alone.
