Reverse description The reverse presents a central vignette reproducing Rex Woods' painting of the Fathers of Confederation assembled at the Quebec Conference of 1864, the deliberations that led directly to Confederation and the British North America Act of 1867. The delegates are depicted gathered around a conference table in a formal interior setting, rendered in fine engraved detail by Ago Aarand. The upper arc legend reads 1867 CONFEDERATION and the lower arc legend reads CONSTITUTION 1982, together commemorating both the 115th anniversary of Canadian Confederation and the patriation of the Canadian Constitution in 1982. The composition is framed within a beaded inner border.
