Solomon Islands has issued novelty titanium pieces under licensing arrangements for decades, with the "Clash of the Titans" branded coins falling into a category of modern collector issues produced primarily by European minting houses on behalf of Pacific island authorities whose connection to the subject matter is purely contractual. The 1987 Ray Harryhausen film that inspired this issue grossed modestly on release but built an outsized cult following on home video.
Titanium at this purity is notoriously difficult to strike cleanly, producing surface inconsistencies that are a function of the metal, not the die.
