| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central oval field features a full-color depiction of a decorated Christmas tree rendered in vivid green with yellow garland bands, red and gold baubles, and a yellow star finial at the apex, set against a star-spangled frosted background. The oval is framed by an encircling legend and bordered on either side by high-relief sprays of holly leaves and berries in the outer field. A white satin ribbon and bow motif adorn the lower portion of the design. The circular legend WISHING YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS runs around the inner oval border, with the Perth Mint privy mark P to the right. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Tuvalu's sovereign coining authority has issued collector-targeted silver dollars under license arrangements since the 1970s, and by 2008 the Christmas-themed novelty series had become a reliable annual revenue stream for a microstate whose land area totals just 26 square kilometers. These pieces were never intended for circulation — Tuvalu's functional currency is the Australian dollar, and locally issued coinage exists almost entirely as a foreign-exchange earner through the numismatic trade.
