背面描述	A vibrantly coloured red dragon, rendered in an stylised form evoking the shape of a traditional Chinese decorative knot, dominates the central field. The dragon is depicted with antlered horns, scaled body coiled symmetrically, and holds a flaming pearl in its claws. Flanking the dragon in the lower field is an incuse depiction of a Chinese imperial gateway pavilion, with decorative lantern strings suspended on either side. The Chinese characters 新年快乐 (Happy New Year) are inscribed along the upper arc, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right of the design.
