| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the upper right portion of the field, with the legends ELIZABETH II and NIUE ISLAND arranged along the left and right rims respectively. In the lower centre of the field, two historical coins of Charles I of Münsterberg-Oels are depicted in high relief, rendered as faithful reproductions of their original designs with Gothic inscriptions. The denomination 1 DOLLAR and the date 2014 appear along the lower rim, flanked by star stops. The mint engraver's initials appear in small letters to the left of the historical coin motifs. |
