Reverse description The reverse is a faithful replica of the reverse of the original 1927 Australian Canberra Florin, struck to commemorate the opening of Parliament House in Canberra. At the center, an ornate cartouche frames a detailed view of the Old Parliament House building, flanked by decorative scrollwork and two crossed ceremonial maces. Below the central cartouche, an oval panel bears the date 1927 in script. The circular outer legend reads PARLIAMENT HOUSE AUSTRALIA at the top and ONE FLORIN at the bottom, separated by raised dots, with a fine dentilated border encircling the entire design.
