| Obverse description | The obverse presents a refined right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Susan Taylor, depicting the monarch in mature portrait with softly waved hair pinned at the nape, wearing a pearl necklace and drop earrings. The bust is set against a deeply mirrored proof field, framed by a finely executed inner beaded border. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left, while D·G·REGINA continues along the upper right, both rendered in incuse Latin capitals.
