1 Dollar - Elizabeth II C Series, One Signature

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority replaced the Currency Board of the same name in 1997, just before this series entered circulation — the C Series was among the first issued under the new authority's name, though in practice the institutional change was largely administrative. De La Rue has printed virtually every Cayman note since the islands first issued paper currency in 1972, making this one of the longer unbroken printer-issuer relationships in the Caribbean.

The "one signature" designation distinguishes this from later C Series printings, which added a second signatory as the CIMA's governance structure matured.
