Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed relief reproduction of the golden bracelet of Queen Ahhotep, a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian jewellery recovered from her tomb at Dra' Abu el-Naga'. The bracelet is depicted in its characteristic circular form, lavishly inlaid with lapis lazuli, carnelian, and turquoise set within a pure gold framework, with its intricate decorative motifs rendered in high relief. The legends naming the subject in four languages arc around the periphery of the design. The overall composition celebrates the extraordinary craftsmanship of the ancient Egyptian 17th Dynasty court.
