| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse of this rectangular silver bullion coin-bar features, in the upper field, a three-line legend reading '1oz COIN / FINE SILVER / .9999' in bold serif lettering. Below this, a raised circular cartouche depicts the fourth-effigy portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, diademed and draped, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the engraver's initials 'IRB' beneath the truncation. The circular legend within the cartouche reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left and '1 DOLLAR COOK ISLANDS' to the right, with the date '2015' at the base. In the lower field, a finely detailed depiction of the tall ship HMS Bounty under full sail is rendered in high relief. The Bounty dollar series has been a Cook Islands staple since the 1970s, initially issued as genuine circulation coinage before evolving into collector-targeted silver bullion. By 2015 the series had long since abandoned any pretense of circulating — Cook Islands' actual monetary economy runs on New Zealand dollars — but the constitutional relationship with New Zealand grants the islands full authority to issue legal tender, which has been exploited aggressively by numismatic marketing firms for decades.
KM# 1533 in .9999 fineness places this among the later, purer strikes in the run, as earlier issues were produced in .925.
