| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field, with NIUE ISLAND continuing along the right periphery, all set within a beaded border. The fineness mark AG 999 appears to the lower left of the effigy, and the engraver's initials IRB are incused beneath the portrait. The denomination 1 DOLLAR and date 2014 are inscribed along the lower exergual area, flanked by small diamond-shaped ornaments. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Niue has operated as a prolific licensing hub for themed bullion and collector coins since the 1990s, contracting private mints — primarily the New Zealand Mint — to produce issues that technically circulate as Niuean legal tender but are designed entirely for the collector market. The Bengal Cat piece belongs to a broader feline series that ran through the mid-2010s, each type featuring a different breed. Mintage on these issues was typically capped low enough to sustain secondary-market premiums without exhausting collector demand.
