| Aanvullende informatie |
The Beautiful Madonna of Toruń is a Gothic polychrome sculpture housed in the Cathedral of Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist in Toruń, Poland — a city better known internationally as the birthplace of Copernicus. The sculpture dates to around 1400 and belongs to the "Beautiful Madonna" style, a Central European Gothic movement characterized by soft drapery and idealized form that flourished briefly before harder late-Gothic conventions took over.
Niue's bullion and collector dollar program is administered through agreements with the New Zealand Mint, which licenses religious and cultural imagery from Polish institutions for this type of issue.
