| 正面铭文 | QUEEN ELIZABETH II IRB TUVALU 2017 |
| 背面描述 | A detailed military scene commemorating the Battle of Midway depicts, in the upper portion of the field, a prominent TBD Devastator torpedo bomber in the foreground with additional aircraft visible in the background, all rendered in high relief against a darkened sky. Below, an aircraft carrier is shown at sea, its flight deck and superstructure finely detailed. Flanking the central design are decorative laurel branches. The arc legend BATTLE OF MIDWAY appears along the upper periphery, with the date 4TH-7TH JUNE 1942 inscribed across the lower field and the denomination ONE DOLLAR along the bottom rim. |

Tuvalu's commemorative dollar program has long been licensed through the Perth Mint, which handles design, striking, and distribution while Tuvalu lends its issuing authority. The Battle of Midway, fought June 4–7, 1942, marked the turning point of the Pacific War — four Japanese fleet carriers sunk against one American — but coins of this type are marketed collectibles, not circulating currency, and Tuvalu has no meaningful historical connection to the engagement.
