| 裏面の説明 | Dynamic full-figure depiction of Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and warfare, striding forward in three-quarter view and clad in ornate armour with a decorated breastplate and plumed Corinthian helmet. She brandishes a long spear in her left hand and raises an intricately engraved round shield in her right, while a serpent coils at her feet. An owl with outstretched wings, symbol of Athena's wisdom, appears in the upper left field, and the Parthenon is rendered in low relief in the background. The legend ATHENA is inscribed in bold letters along the lower exergue. |

The "Athena" branding here refers to Perth Mint's stackable bullion series launched to compete directly with the Royal Canadian Mint's Maple Leaf program in the high-purity (.9999) silver market. Perth had long held a reputation for fine gold refining, but the push into ultra-pure silver bullion coins accelerated notably after 2010 as Asian investor demand — particularly from Singapore and Hong Kong — for stackable, low-premium silver grew sharply.
This is also one of the final issues to carry the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Elizabeth II before her death in September 2022 prompted a global transition across Commonwealth mints.
