The archangel is depicted in three-quarter view, wearing richly ornamented red and green robes with gold trim, holding a white lily in his raised right hand and a globe in his left, with large brown wings partially visible behind him. A flowing white banner bearing the Latin inscription AVE GRATIA scrolls across the lower portion of the image. The circular color field is surrounded by an elaborately embossed silver border featuring scrolling acanthus motifs and beaded ornamentation at the outer edge of the square flan. |
