Obverse description Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and crown. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim and NIUE ISLAND along the upper right rim, both in raised Latin characters. The denomination 1 DOLLAR and date 2020 appear in the lower field, flanked by dots. Below the portrait, the engraver's initials IRB and the mint mark mw are incuse, with the fineness mark Ag 999 positioned to the lower right of the effigy. The entire design is finished in antiqued style, giving the coin a distinctive aged appearance.

Reverse description The central field features a finely detailed depiction of the Aquarius figure, the water-bearer of the zodiac, rendered in high relief with an antiqued finish. Surrounding the central motif along the upper arc, the symbols of all twelve zodiac signs are displayed in sequence, with the Aquarius symbol distinguished by an inlaid wooden insert. Ornate decorative patterns run along the rim, framing the composition and adding an artisanal quality to the overall design. The antiqued silver finish enhances the sculptural depth of the figure and the surrounding decorative elements.
