| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a colorized depiction of the historic Sochi Airport terminal building rendered in the lower half of the field, a neoclassical structure with prominent colonnaded facade, flanked by colorized cypress trees and green foliage. A colorized commercial aircraft is shown in flight to the left of the terminal. In the upper portion of the field, a relief panorama of the Caucasus mountain range is depicted with the names of surrounding localities inscribed across its face. The bilingual legends СОЧИ / SOCHI appear at the upper field in Cyrillic and Latin script respectively, while АЭРОПОРТ / AIRPORT is inscribed in two lines across the middle field, also in Cyrillic and Latin. |

Niue has operated a prolific commemorative coinage program since the 1990s, licensing its sovereign issuing authority to private mints — primarily the New Zealand Mint — to produce collectibles with no meaningful circulation life. This "Airport" dollar is one of dozens of topical issues from that program, struck for the collector market rather than for any monetary purpose on the island, whose entire population numbers under 2,000.
