Reverse description A fully coloured depiction of an adult ox and a young calf standing together in the centre of the field, rendered in naturalistic brown tones with fine detail. Behind the figures, an incuse background features stylised ginkgo tree branches and fan-shaped leaves in relief, evoking a traditional East Asian aesthetic. To the left of the animals, the Chinese character 牛 (Ox) appears in an ornamental cartouche alongside the inscription OX 2021 oriented vertically. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is visible in the lower centre of the field. The overall composition celebrates the Year of the Ox in the Chinese lunar calendar.
