| Obverse description | The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by engraver Jody Clark, dominates the obverse field. The crowned and draped right-facing bust depicts the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, a pearl drop earring, and a multi-strand pearl necklace, rendered with exceptional relief and fine detail befitting the proof finish. The circumferential legend reads 'ELIZABETH II · AUSTRALIA' arcing from lower left to upper right, with the date '2022' positioned at lower right. The engraver's initials 'JC' appear incuse in the lower left field beneath the truncation. |

The Great Aussie Coin Hunt series — launched by the Royal Australian Mint in 2019 as a circulation-driven collector program — assigned each letter of the alphabet to an object meant to evoke distinctly Australian life. The third iteration in 2022 continued the format with silver proof variants aimed squarely at the collector market rather than circulation. The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, adopted by the RAM in 2019, appears here in what turned out to be among the final years of her reign before her death in September 2022.
