| Reverse description | The reverse features a bold, large capital letter D occupying the left portion of the field, representing the letter D in the Great Aussie Coin Hunt 3 series. To the right and centre, a highly textured sculptural depiction of pieces of Darrell Lea Rocky Road confectionery bursts dynamically from its packaging, with individual marshmallow and chocolate fragments scattered across the field. The denomination 1 DOLLAR appears in the upper right, and the brand name DARRELL LEA is inscribed in the lower left field. The overall design is vigorous and three-dimensional, celebrating an iconic Australian confectionery brand. |

The Great Aussie Coin Hunt series — now in its third iteration — was the Royal Australian Mint's most successful public engagement program in decades, with earlier rounds generating widespread hoarding behavior that briefly caused genuine circulation shortages in some retail sectors. The "Letter D" release was part of the A-to-Z alphabet format underpinning the hunt's structure, each letter paired with a distinctly Australian word or icon.
By the third series, secondary market premiums had softened considerably compared to the frenzy surrounding the 2019 inaugural run.
