| Beschrijving voorzijde | Sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicted in right-facing profile wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl drop earring, with a pearl necklace visible at the truncation. The finely detailed portrait shows the Queen's hair styled in characteristic curls beneath the ornate crown. The circular legend reads ELIZABETH II to the upper left and AUSTRALIA 2021 to the right, with the engraver's initials JC incuse at the lower left of the bust truncation. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a large bold capital letter A occupying the left-centre of the field, its interior decorated with angular geometric line work, with the word AKUBRA inscribed at its base identifying the subject. To the right, an Akubra broad-brimmed felt hat is depicted in high relief, set against radiating lines emanating from the upper right suggesting sunlight, with the suggestion of a drover's clothing visible beneath the hat brim. The denomination ONE DOLLAR is inscribed in a curved legend along the lower rim, completing the design that celebrates this iconic piece of Australian bush culture as part of the Great Aussie Coin Hunt 2 series. |

The Great Aussie Coin Hunt series — first run in 2019 and revived in 2021 — was a circulation campaign designed in partnership with major supermarket chains, with specially marked bags of coins distributed through checkouts and self-serve registers. The "A" release anchored the 26-letter alphabet set, and the program drove genuine public hoarding behavior at scale, briefly tightening coin availability in some regional areas. Australia Post and Woolworths both participated in distribution logistics for the second run.
