The portrait is rendered with fine detail and set against a polished mirror field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper periphery, with AUSTRALIA continuing along the right, and the denomination 1 DOLLAR inscribed along the lower periphery, flanked by raised dots. Reverse description The reverse features a highly detailed high-relief depiction of the 'Little Hero' gold nugget, discovered in Victoria, Australia in 1890, rendered in three-dimensional sculptural form at the centre of the field. Radiating sunburst lines emanate from behind the nugget across the entire field, creating a dynamic background texture. The legend AUSTRALIAN NUGGET arcs along the upper periphery, while the name LITTLE HERO 1890 is inscribed in a concave border band below the central device. The lower border carries the date 2022, the weight and fineness designation 1oz 9999 SILVER, and the Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the right. The designer's initials SD are visible beneath the nugget.
