| Reverse description | The central field features a dark recessed disc inlaid with genuine Australian opal chips arranged in the shape of the continent of Australia, displaying vivid iridescent play-of-color in greens, blues, and reds against a black background. Surrounding this central opal inlay is a broad annular border, colored in deep blue, populated with ten raised silver high-relief depictions of iconic Australian fauna arranged at regular intervals, including a kangaroo, emu, wombat, echidna, thorny devil lizard, snake, platypus, koala, Tasmanian devil, and a frilled-neck lizard. The Perth Mint's P mintmark appears to the lower left of the central disc, while the inscription 2020 1oz 9999 SILVER is engraved vertically along the right inner border. |
