The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark appears to the left of the swan's neck, and the engraver's initials JM are inscribed within the design. The circumferential legend THE 1OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN arcs across the upper border, while SILVER SWAN curves along the lower border, all within a raised inner rim. |

The Swan series from the Perth Mint began in 2017 as an annual bullion program, each year's release distinguished by a revised swan design while retaining the one-troy-ounce silver specification. The gilded variant — a separately issued collector version applying .999 gold plating over the .9999 silver substrate — commands a premium over the standard bullion strike and is produced in considerably smaller quantities, though Perth rarely publishes official mintage figures for its collector offshoots.
