| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central design features three cattle — a mature bull standing prominently to the right and two smaller bovines to the left — depicted in high relief upon a rocky terrain base, evoking the feral cattle population historically associated with the Auckland Islands subgroup. The inscription EWING ISLAND arcs along the upper periphery of the field in capital letters. The numeral 1, denoting the face value, is prominently rendered in the lower central field beneath the cattle grouping. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Auckland Islands have no permanent human population and no functioning economy — coins issued in their name are New Zealand-administered legal tender in a technical sense only, produced entirely for the collector market. Ewing Island is one of the smaller satellites of the Auckland group, notable mainly as a habitat for Hooker's sea lions and the subject of ongoing pest eradication programs run by the New Zealand Department of Conservation.
