Obverse description The fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2013 arcs around the upper periphery, with the engraver's initials IRB appearing below the bust truncation. The design is executed in the classic struck relief characteristic of Australian decimal coinage of this period.
