Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen with finely detailed hair and a jewelled diadem. The peripheral legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the upper left and 'AUSTRALIA 2010' to the upper right, separated by raised dot stops. The denomination '1 DOLLAR' is inscribed along the lower rim, also flanked by dot stops. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear on the truncation of the neck.
