Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts a reclining tiger in high relief, rendered with meticulous detail in its striped coat, facing left with its forelegs extended and its gaze directed toward the viewer. The animal rests upon a rocky outcrop, with a bare, stylised tree occupying the upper right portion of the field. The Chinese character 虎 (Tiger) appears in the left field, and the Perth Mint's distinctive P mintmark is positioned to the right near the tree. The curved inscription YEAR OF THE TIGER arcs along the lower portion of the design in an elegant italic script.

Aanvullende informatie

Australia's lunar series bullion coins follow a twelve-year cycle, meaning the Tiger design last appeared in 1998 under the first portrait series and won't return until 2022. The Perth Mint produced these in multiple sizes, but the one-ounce silver remained the entry point for the program and consistently drew the strongest collector demand relative to spot.
