Aanvullende informatie

The "Year of the Ox" dollar was part of the Royal Australian Mint's ongoing lunar series targeting the substantial Chinese-Australian community and broader Asian export market — a commercially driven program that accelerated sharply through the 2000s. The 2009 issue coincided with the global financial crisis, which paradoxically boosted collector demand for low-mintage commemoratives as speculative investment alternatives.

KM#1349 is the circulation-quality strike; a separate colored enamel variant was also produced that year for the gift market.
