Obverse description The obverse of this rectangular silver bar-coin features the fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile with a diadem and necklace visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The legend ELIZABETH II appears incuse along the upper border, with AUSTRALIA and 1 DOLLAR inscribed in the field above and below the portrait respectively. The date 2014 is prominently struck along the lower border panel, separated from the main field by a recessed line.
