Aanvullende informatie

The Great Aussie Coin Hunt was a circulation promotion run by the Royal Australian Mint in 2019, releasing 26 dollar coins into general circulation — one for each letter of the alphabet, each paired with an Australian word or icon. The campaign was a deliberate attempt to revive public engagement with coinage at a time when contactless payment was accelerating the disappearance of coins from everyday transactions. It worked: some letters caused genuine queuing at banks and post offices.

The "W" release was among the harder letters to pull from circulation, with distribution uneven across states.
