The Great Aussie Coin Hunt was a Royal Australian Mint circulation campaign launched in 2019, releasing 26 alphabetically themed one-dollar coins into general circulation — a deliberate strategy to drive public engagement with physical currency at a time when cash transactions in Australia had fallen below 30% of all payments. The silver proof version of each letter was a parallel collector issue, never intended for wallets.
KM#3643a distinguishes the silver proof from its aluminium-bronze circulation counterpart, KM#3643.
