Reverse description Five kangaroos in dynamic poses — collectively known as a 'mob' — are depicted in varying states of movement across the field, their silhouetted forms rendered in frosted high relief against a deeply mirrored dark background. A large numeral '1' occupies the lower centre of the field, overlapping the kangaroo grouping, with the denomination legend DOLLAR inscribed to its right along the lower arc. The composition, originally designed by Stuart Devlin for the circulating dollar coin, is faithfully reproduced here in proof gold.
