Obverse description Fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, with a drop earring visible. The portrait, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, is rendered in fine detail against a deeply mirrored proof field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs around the upper left, AUSTRALIA along the right, and the date 2004 appears at the lower right. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the neck.
