| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field depicts three jabiru storks (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus), the iconic wading birds of Kakadu, rendered in high relief against a vibrant full-colour background evoking the wetlands of Kakadu National Park. The scene includes ochre sandstone escarpment formations, a shallow billabong, and aquatic flora in the background. The denomination $1 appears prominently in the upper field, flanked by the legend AUSTRALIA to the left and KAKADU NATIONAL PARK along the right periphery. The Perth Mint privy mark P appears to the lower left of the design, with the reverse lettering RV also present. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Part of the Perth Mint's ongoing Treasures of Australia series, this dollar marks the 25th anniversary of Kakadu's inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site — one of only a handful of properties worldwide listed for both outstanding natural and cultural values simultaneously. The park's dual listing in 1981 and 1987 reflected its Aboriginal rock art, some of which dates back over 20,000 years.
