| Aanvullende informatie |
The Green Turtle dollar was part of Perth Mint's annually rotating Australian Animal series, which ran alongside — but distinct from — the Royal Australian Mint's standard circulation program. Perth's coloured coin issues of this period were legal tender but produced explicitly for the collector market, meaning virtually none entered circulation. The 4th portrait of Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, had been adopted by Australia in 1999 and would remain in use until the 2019 transition to Jody Clark's effigy.
